The Vortex Slide is Skyline Queenstown’s newest gravity-fuelled ride, packed with twists, turns, and fast-flowing fun. Race through 48 metres of track as gravity takes over, building speed on a 20-metre descent and reaching up to 35km/h on your way down.

Ride Information
Price: $5 per ride (adults and children)
Sliders must be 6 years or older and at least 110cm tall. Tandem slide is not permitted.
Purchase: Available on-site only. These can be purchased from the ticketing desk on arrival, or up the hill at Skyline Retail Store, Stratosfare Restaurant check-in, the Luge Shack, or via QR Code at the slide entrance.
Weather: The Vortex Slide is weather-dependent and may close without notice due to weather conditions or operational requirements.

GoPro cameras are permitted if securely mounted using a chest strap. Handheld cameras, selfie sticks, or any unsecured devices are not allowed on the slide.
Yes, accessibility is assessed case-by-case. Guests must be able to get into the sack, and sit independantly through twists and turns of the slide. Our staff can assist with special arrangements where possible.

To ride The Vortex Slide, you must be in good health and free of heart conditions, motion sickness, back problems, or other physical limitations. For safety reasons, expectant mothers are not permitted to ride.
