Support Brent in the First-Ever 24-Hour Luge Challenge
Skyline Queenstown is thrilled to host the 24-Hour Luge Challenge, where local legend Brent Wallace will take the reins in this wild, one-of-a-kind marathon on November 1st, 2024, all in support of Gumboot Friday!
Brent is about to make history by being the first person ever to tackle 24 hours of non-stop Luge action—all in the name of a great cause. Gumboot Friday, powered by I Am Hope, has already provided over 100,000 free counselling sessions to young Kiwis aged 25 and under, and Brent’s got his sights set on raising a whopping $100,000 to keep that support going.
Want to be part of the fun? Donate now, then head up to Skyline Queenstown on November 1st to cheer Brent on and even zoom down the Luge track with him during our usual operating hours from 10am to 7pm. Brent’s 24-hour challenge wraps up at 10am on November 2nd, so be sure to arrive early and cheer him on from the sidelines when Skyline opens at 9:30am. Let’s make a real difference in the lives of young Kiwis together. It’s going to be an unforgettable day—don’t miss out!
Brent’s Story
Brent Wallace is a mental health champion on a mission! After overcoming bullying and trauma in his own life, Brent knows just how vital it is to have support when you need it. That’s why he’s all in for Gumboot Friday and I Am Hope, making sure others get the help they deserve.
As Brent puts it: “Through my own experience, I have found out we have a mental health system that’s stretched and has very little funding. Mental health is an issue that needs to be dealt with today. If I have to put my mind and body through some pain for other people’s gain, I’m all in.”
What is Gumboot Friday?
