Gondola Annual Pass Terms & Conditions

Gondola Annual Passes are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

Gondola Annual Passes are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

  1. Each card is valid for one year from the date of purchase.
  2. Cardholders may travel on any scheduled ride of the Gondola (special events excluded).
  3. Cardholder discounts are not valid in conjunction with any other offer or special event unless specified.
  4. GAP discount at the Souvenirs and Gift Shop as follows:
    1. 20% off everything except GoPro cameras, GoPro Accessories, Mons Royale, Postage, and any item already discounted or part of a promotional offer.
    2. 10% off Mons Royale and GoPro Accessories (NOT cameras), except for products already discounted or part of a promotional offer.
    3. 10% off Jelly Belly – all products except products already discounted or part of a promotional offer.
  5. Friends & family 20% discount does not apply to 3 Day Unlimited Gondola Pass.
  6. The Gondola Annual Pass is only available for Otago and Southland residents.
  7. The Gondola Annual Pass cannot be purchased by any party or personnel whose business activity or terms of employment necessitate the use of any Skyline facilities (the card is not valid for commercial use).
  8. Unauthorised use of the Gondola Annual Pass will result in the immediate revocation of the card.
  9. No other concessions apply unless specifically stated in writing.
  10. The Gondola Annual Pass must be presented to Skyline Queenstown staff to validate the cardholder benefits.
  11. Cardholders wishing to purchase a Mountain Bike season pass will have the cost of the card deducted from the cost of the season pass.
  12. Cardholder discounts apply to the entire cardholder party where the cardholder pays in one transaction.
  13. By purchasing a Gondola Annual Pass you are prohibited from accessing the Gondola as a means of transport to paraglide, mountain bike, access employment, or benefit commercially.
  14. Cardholders wishing to purchase a paragliding season pass will have the cost of the card deducted from the cost of the season pass.

Paraglider Annual Pass

If you own paragliding equipment and wish to use the Gondola access to paraglide from the top of Bob’s Peak, you need a Paraglider Annual Pass.

Paraglider Annual Passes are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

Passes must be purchased onsite at the Gondola base ticket office. Annual passes are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

  • Each card is valid for one year from the date of purchase.
  • Cardholder discounts are not valid in conjunction with any other offer or special event unless specified.
  • The Paraglider Annual Pass cannot be purchased by any party or personnel whose business activity or terms of employment necessitate the use of any Skyline facilities (the card is not valid for commercial use).
  • Unauthorised use of the Paraglider Annual Pass will result in the immediate revocation of the card.
  • The Paraglider Annual Passes are non-refundable and non-transferable. Any exceptions to this rule are at the discretion of Skyline Queenstown, charges may apply.
  • Skyline provides Gondola access to Ben Lomond Recreational Reserve and does not take responsibility for personal injury or damage to property.
  • Not valid for combo products.
  • No other concessions apply unless specifically stated in writing.
  • Cardholder discounts apply to the entire cardholder party where the cardholder pays in one transaction.
  • During Skyline Queenstown’s peak hours of 5pm to 6.30pm there may be limited availability of Gondola cabins for paragliders – we suggest you use this time to take a break.
  • Gondola service may be suspended if the Ben Lomond Recreation Reserve is closed, this may be due to high fire risk or bad weather.
  • Skyline Queenstown reserves the right to close the Gondola, change operational times or refuse entry at its own discretion.
  • The Paraglider Annual Pass cannot be used within the blackout dates (normally from 20 December to 28 February).
  • The Paraglider Annual passes must be presented to Skyline Queenstown to gain access to the Gondola. No pass = no ride. Lost passes and cards will incur a replacement fee of $10
  • Skyline Queenstown reserves the right to review cardholder benefits and prices.
  • Under no circumstances should the cabin doors be forced open for ventilation, charges will apply for any repairs or maintenance required.
