What's Up?
Skyline Queenstown’s Top Complex Transformation
As you can see, construction is underway on a major extension to the existing building. This is phase 4 of Project Skyline, THE BIG UPGRADE, which will transform the entire Top Complex into a world-class entertainment and leisure destination.
The top complex development has two key elements
- A building extension: First, we are extending the building, which will be completed in April 2026.
- A complete building replacement: Then, we’ll move all business operations into the extension (complete with the larger viewing deck and new food and beverage offerings). We’ll then demolish the existing building and rebuild a new building from the ground up, stitch the two sections together, and the project will be complete.
Key Milestones of THE BIG UPGRADE
- August 2023: Top complex extension started – expanding the footprint and enhancing the facilities on Bob’s Peak.
- April 2026: Top complex extension complete – marking a significant milestone in the upgrade project.
- April 2026: Phased demolition of the existing top complex starts – making way for the new and improved complex.
- December 2028: Both the building extension and replacement are stitched together, and the rebuild is complete – creating a world-class entertainment and leisure destination.
We’re excited to share this journey with you and can’t wait to unveil the new and improved Top Complex in 2028!
